- Torx T20 screwdriver
- Rotary (Dremel) tool
- 5-minute epoxy
Mounting Instructions
Step 1 — Remove the Reflector Housings
Remove the headlamp lens. Using a T20 Torx screwdriver, remove the screws holding both reflector housings in place. Pull the reflector housings away from the headlamp and unclip each connector.
Step 2 — Swap the LED Boards
Take both reflector housings to a clean area. Using a Dremel tool, shave down the black plastic rivets holding the factory LED panels to the housing and remove the factory boards. Repeat for all three factory boards. Remove any shavings, then place the new Diode Dynamics LED boards into position using the original plastic rivet points. Fix the new panels in place by applying 5-minute epoxy to completely cover the rivet tabs — the epoxy should bond all the way around each rivet, contacting the board fully.
Step 3 — Reassemble and Route Wiring
Remove the turn signal housing from the headlamp. After the epoxy is completely dry, reinstall the reflector housing units and turn signal housing with all original screws. Route the RGBW ribbon cable out of the headlamp, sealing any holes you create. Replace the headlamp lens and repeat for the other side.

Step 4 — Connect the Driver and Controller
Connect the LED board to the driver. Using the JST-to-M8 adapter wire included with the Diode Dynamics RGBW controller (sold separately), connect the driver to the controller.
Important: Do NOT plug the LED panel directly into the controller without the driver. The LEDs must be connected to the driver first to control power.
Step 5 — Connect Power and Complete
Connect the RGBW controller to 12V power and ground — this dictates when the panels turn on. Tap wires coming directly out of the headlight, not the main headlamp connector. Mount drivers and controller outside the headlight for serviceability, away from the engine block. Test thoroughly, reseal the headlight, and reinstall onto the vehicle. The install is complete.
