Note: All HitchMount LED Pod kits now include a custom-molded adapter sleeve for use with 2.5-inch receivers. This component is not required for vehicles with a standard 2-inch hitch receiver and can be set aside during installation.

Wiring and Installation Instructions
Step 1 — Remove the Driver-Side Tail Lamp
Drop the tailgate and locate the driver-side tail lamp. Remove the two 8mm screws holding it in place, firmly tug to remove the tail lamp from the body, and disconnect the factory harness by pressing the release tab.
Step 2 — Connect the Reverse Light Harness
Take the included harness and feed the DT connectors down through the tail light pocket until the in-line adapter is left. Plug the adapter in-line with the factory connector. Repeat on the other side of the vehicle.
Step 3 — Reinstall the Tail Lamps
Snap the tail lamp back in place and secure it with the two factory 8mm screws. Repeat on both sides.
Step 4 — Route the Harness
Underneath the vehicle, route the harness and DT connectors over the driver-side bed support to keep them away from the exhaust. Feed the DT connector into the back of the hitch receiver opening toward the rear of the truck.
Note: If you connect the harness to the passenger-side tail lamp instead, you'll need to remove the eight 7mm bolts holding the splash guard and pull it back to access the DT connector.
Step 5 — Install the HitchMount Pod and Test
Plug the DT connector into the C1 HitchMount LED pod, slide the HitchMount into the receiver, and make sure the tabs on the snap-fit housing lock into place. Test for proper operation of both the red running lights and white reverse light. Zip-tie any loose wiring and ensure all hardware is secure. The install is complete.
