Installation Video
Note: This kit uses both factory and included hardware to mount the brackets.
Tools Required
- Plastic trim removal tool
- 5/8" ratchet
- 15mm, 8mm, 10mm sockets
- 10mm wrench
- T25 Torx wrench
Mounting Instructions
Step 1 — Remove Factory Fog Light Assembly
Using a ratchet, remove the four 15mm factory bolts holding the bumper support brace. Unplug the factory fog lamp and remove the two wire clips from the factory lamp bracket. Remove the four 8mm bolts holding the lamp to the bumper and pull it free. Remove the factory fog light from the factory bracket by unscrewing the four T25 Torx bolts from the back of the housing.
Step 2 — Install SS6 Bracket and Light Bar
Install the SS6 bracket to the factory bracket using the supplied hardware. If your kit includes a mounting adapter bracket (for new Stage Series light bars), install the set screws in the center mounting position on both sides of the light bar, attach the adapter using the included Torx screws in the top and bottom holes, then mount the light bar to the main bracket using the supplied hex bolt. Tighten firm enough to adjust but not locked in place. Reinstall the factory bracket (with SS6 mounted) using the four 8mm bolts.
Step 3 — Connect Wiring and Backlight
Plug the included 9006 adapter into the factory wiring, then connect the DT connector to the SS6. Optional backlight: If equipped, connect the blue wire with red male spade connector to a fused 12V source (parking light or sidemarker circuit is commonly used). Use the included T-taps — position over the selected wire, crimp fully with needle-nose pliers, and insert the spade connector. Note: The power source must be fused — do not connect directly to the battery.
Step 4 — Complete Installation
Repeat on the other side. Test all functions, aim the SS6 fog lights, and tighten the mounting bolts. Reinstall the bumper support braces on both sides using the 15mm factory bolts.
