The 2017-2018 Subaru Forester Premium comes with factory LED tail lights — but the turn signals still use an outdated incandescent bulb in a separate location. The Tail as Turn® + Backup Module changes that by enabling your Forester's factory LED tail lights to function as your turn signals for a much more modern appearance. Even better, the module frees up the original turn signal socket so you can convert it into an additional backup light for dramatically more rear-facing visibility at night. The entire kit is 100% plug-and-play.

How It Works
The Tail as Turn® Module integrates the turn signal function directly into the factory LED tail lights. Instead of a small incandescent bulb handling all the signaling, your full LED tail light array handles turns and hazards for a dramatically more visible, modern look. With the original turn signal socket now free, you can drop in a bright LED bulb to add a second backup light on each side — a major safety improvement when reversing at night.
What's Included
Each kit includes:
- Two (2) Tail as Turn® modules
- Two (2) 921-size LED bulbs for existing backup light location (optional upgrade)
- Two (2) 7440-size LED bulbs for the original turn signal socket, converted to backup (optional upgrade)
- Installation guide
Installation is 100% plug-and-play — no cutting, splicing, or modification to factory wiring. The module connects inline between the tail light harness and the factory connector. Basic hand tools and about 30 minutes are all you need.

Fitment: 2017-2018 Subaru Forester — compatible with 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 2.0XT Premium, and 2.0XT Touring trim levels (requires factory LED tail lights). Backed by a 3-year warranty.
