Kyle Chaney made history at the 2025 King of the Hammers, becoming the first UTV driver to take the top spot in the brutal 4400 Unlimited Class. Driving a Can-Am Maverick R equipped with Diode Dynamics lighting, Chaney conquered 225 miles of rocks, sand, and high-speed desert to finish in 7 hours, 53 minutes, and 45 seconds.

A Brutal Course

The 2025 Race of Kings ran a three-lap format across 225 miles: a 65-mile high-speed desert lap, an 85-mile technical rock section, and a 75-mile final lap on new rock trails revealed just one day before the race. Chaney started in the second row and climbed through the field to take the lead by the second lap.

Lighting Up the Course

Running SS3 LED Pods on his Can-Am Maverick R, Chaney had no problem cutting through dust and darkness. He also installed a prototype of the upcoming Stage Series Lightbars during qualifying — proving that Diode Dynamics lighting performs when it matters most.
