The HitchMount LED Pod Reverse Kit for the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma installs an SSC1 or C1R LED pod in your 2-inch trailer hitch receiver, adding a high-power reverse light, running light, and optional 4th brake light (C1R option). This plug-and-play kit takes just minutes to install. Here's the full walkthrough.
Note: All HitchMount LED Pod kits now include a custom-molded adapter sleeve for use with 2.5-inch receivers. This adapter is not needed for standard 2-inch hitch receivers and can be set aside.

Installation Instructions
Step 1 — Locate and Disconnect the Factory 7-Pin Connector
Locate the 7-pin trailer connector on the rear bumper. On the backside of the bumper, depress the locking tab to disconnect the OE plug from the back of the 7-pin connector.
Step 2 — Plug the Harness In-Line
Connect the provided wire harness in-line with the OE harness. One side goes into the original plug, the other side into the back of the 7-pin connector.
Step 3 — Route and Connect the DT Connector
Route the DT connector through the back of the hitch receiver. Plug the DT connector into your HitchMount LED pod.
Step 4 — Insert the HitchMount and Test
Slide the HitchMount into your receiver and ensure the tabs on the snap-fit housing lock into place. Test to verify everything functions properly and secure any loose wiring. The install is complete.
