Perfect JK Fitment
The SS5 Windshield CrossLink Light Bar Kit mounts eight linked SS5 LED pods above the windshield of the 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Application-specific powder-coated steel brackets bolt into factory mounting points near the windshield — no cutting or drilling. The brackets also include built-in ditch light mounting points for adding SS3 LED pods without any additional brackets.
CrossLink Technology
Patent-pending CrossLink technology uses single-piece CNC aluminum links to connect all eight SS5 pods into one rigid light bar. Unlike generic multi-piece linking systems, the CNC aluminum links accommodate both straight and curved configurations while maintaining rigidity. Since every SS5 pod has inset threaded mounts built in, there's no need for a special linking version — standard SS5 pods work with the CrossLink system.
Designed for Performance
The SS5 CrossLink delivers the highest output intensity of any light bar on the market. While generic light bars use inefficient reflectors that scatter light in every direction, the SS5 uses patented TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optics that collect all light from the LEDs and direct it only where you need it — drastically reducing glare and maximizing usable output.
Sport and Pro Power Levels
The kit is available in two power levels:
- Sport: Nine Luxeon Z ES LEDs per pod at 40W total, delivering 4,800 lumens raw output per pod
- Pro: Nine Cree XP-L HI LEDs per pod at 90W total, delivering 9,700 lumens raw output per pod
Both levels use high-intensity emitters with TIR optics for unmatched focus and output.
Functional Beam Pattern
The CrossLink Combo beam pattern combines Driving and Flood optics for all-around off-road use. Driving optics in the center punch downrange in a focused 30x20-degree beam, while Flood optics on the top and bottom fill the surrounding area for a full 70x30-degree pattern. Designed with advanced optical simulation modeling for maximum efficiency.
Light Color and Backlight
Available in cool white (6000K) to match factory LED lighting, or selective yellow (3000K) for high contrast in poor weather. The SS5 features a selectable backlight with eight color options — blue, red, teal, amber, green, purple, yellow, and white. Simply alternate power on/off to cycle colors — no external controller needed. The backlight fully illuminates the TIR optic for unique accent lighting. (Yellow lens kits are only available with amber backlight.)
Interchangeable Lenses and Covers
Need a different beam pattern or color? Replacement lenses let you change the optic or color yourself. Snap-on covers are also available in multiple colors to keep the light bar protected from dirt, dust, and road debris — and to comply with state requirements where applicable.
